As the team at Makemedia navigate the digital landscape we often find products, tools, websites & technologies that interest us and think will interest our peers, clients and even competitors! We thought we’d share these as a part of our Bitesize series.

Wired Sussex – Talent 2017: Skills Summit

Wired Sussex (@WiredSussex) do a fantastic job in promoting the digital community in Brighton. From 15th – 17th March they are running “Talent:2017″. We’ll be attending the Skills Summit on 16th March to speak to our peers about hiring, training and motivating teams in digital environments.

Elijah Meeks’ Data Visualisation Survey

Sharing in the business world is valuable. Elijah Meeks (http://elijahmeeks.com/) of Netflix (@netflix) and author of “D3js in Action” has run a survey of data visualisation professionals.

The survey has closed, but follow him on Twitter (@Elijah_Meeks) if you would like to see the results – bearing in mind the subject, they’re sure to be pretty!

International Women’s Day – 30 women rocking UX

8th March was International Women’s Day and uxdesign.cc published a list of the “top 30 women who rock in UX”, including Elizabeth Churchill (@xeeliz) of Google, who we saw speak about storytelling and metaphor in the context of product management at the @MindTheProduct Conference in London last year. There are way more than 30 top women in UX that we can think of, but 30 is a good start!
