After graduating with a degree in Multimedia Technology & Design in 2005, Tom worked with design teams in London and the South East before moving to Brighton. He joined our team in 2009 and now leads Design and User Experience for Makemedia and our clients.
Tom has lead a number of flagship projects at Makemedia. He was instrumental in the breakthrough responsive redevelopment of Infrastructure Journal, an award-winning new product for Glenigan, and most recently the innovative EOS digital platform for Schneider Electric.
A keen collaborator, Tom works closely with clients and colleagues to develop creative solutions to complex problems. As a user-centred designer he makes sure customer needs are at the heart of our approach. Tom believes in the power of rapid prototyping and testing, validating ideas as quickly as possible to deliver business value for our clients.
Tom has appeared in industry publications such as Web Designer Magazine and Netmag. His work for Glenigan was nominated for Design/UX product of the Year (PPA Digital Awards 2016), with the project winning Digital Innovation of the Year earlier in the year.
Tom is co-organiser of UX Camp Brighton, an annual event for those interested in all aspects of user experience design. He was an invited industry expert for the University of Brighton MSc User Experience Design student advice and critique sessions in 2016.
